question about grand gathering

i made a grand gathering reservation for 8 people, i'm concerned if only 6 or 7 can make the trip. we prepaid, will we be able to still go without the other 2 people who don't make it, even if we still paid for them. or will they turn us away?

I think I might be confused too by your post
You say you have a grand gathering set up, but now are thinking less than eight people may be able to make it to your dining reservation ?

I can see where you would be confused. I didn't explain very well, lol. Ok so here goes... I made reservations with my dvc for myself, son, husband, aunt, uncle, 2 cousins, mom and dad for august. My husband told me that because of work, he probably won't make it so now i'm down 1 person, maybe...but that's ok because we are still 8 people. My aunt wanted to do the magical fireworks voyage, (which is a grand gathering) for my cousin's birthday so we booked it for 8 people and paid for it....then the other day my parents tell me they might not be able to go...so here i go again....2 more people down, maybe. now we are down to 6 people and i kind of feel bad for my cousin if we have to cancel (i guess if we have to cancel we have to cancel) so i discussed with my aunt that we might have to cancel and she stated that she did not mind paying for the 2 extra people even if they are not there. so my question is if we showed up with 6 people and paid for 8, will they turn us away or should i cancel?

I can't imagine they would turn you away, especially if you paid for the 2 extra people. As for whether you should / could cancel now, I cannot advise you, it's really your call. It's too bad this has become so difficult for you, trip planning is suppose to be fun. I'm sure whatever you choose to do, you'll still have a wonderful trip!

Thanks so much! I do really enjoy the trip planning, but sometimes my family can make me crazy. lol.
