Question about good viewing area for HS fireworks?

The viewing area for the party is now in it's second location which is the raised area in front of the Chinese Theater where the Sorcerers hat was located.

That's what I thought - it's an awesome location! Huge improvement over the prior location.

I am looking at Disney's 5 day calendar for when we will be there in Nov, I don't the Star Wars Fireworks listed. Are they stopping it? What is the usual time for it?

It will be listed under dining for the dessert party. The fireworks and light show start about 45 minutes be fore closing I think.

It is too early for accurate listings of hours and events.
What you see now are either guesses or preliminary listings.

Disney does not put much effort into getting hours and events posted as early as
they did in years past.

I and many others don't think it's as good as the previous location. It's too close and there are certain areas in the viewing area that have a blind spot when viewing the higher fireworks.

It will continue. AFAIK, there are no plans to do something else. However, the last two years SWaGS was suspended after the first week of Nov until the middle of Dec. That doesn't necessarily mean that it will be done again this year, but if I had to guess, it will be.

It's all over the place. SWaGS took place 60 minutes before close for a while and it took place 15 minutes after closing time for a while. Right now it's a closing time.

They do it because of all the DHS Christmas offerings which includes the JBJB show. The JBJB party, specifically, takes place because of the JBJB show.

Yes, it's a mobile stage. They removed it prior to the Star Wars fireworks when we saw them in December.

That depends on the crowd-level (and that is unpredictable as many guests hop over to DHS just for the evening shows.)

Figure 45-60 min. in advance, give or take.

But, at WDW, being far "too early" beats being one minute "too late."

Robo gives the best advice, seriously! We were there on May 4th, Star Wars day, it was pretty much a zoo. Yes, they drive that stage away. We secured our spot right in the middle 30 min. prior to Movie Magic (and it was 50 min prior to Star Wars). On our day Movie Magic was 9:10pm so in our spot by 8:40 (everyone sat until 5 min prior to Movie Magic then stood and moved closer together), Star Wars fireworks 9:30. Park closing was 9:30. And F! was at 9pm. I'm sure the times change though out the year. They didn't post times for these shows until 2-3 months prior so keep checking park hours and events page.
