Question about getting a PP+

We ordered our PP+ and got the voucher in the mail. We are going to be starting our vacation with breakfast at Goofy's kitchen. Can we bring our voucher and get our PP+ card at Goofy's or do we need to go somewhere else to get the card first? Thanks!

We've always been told that we had to get it at the photo shop on Main St, and I believe there is another photo shop you can get it at in DCA, but I've never tried that.

You get a plastic card with a lanyard that they have to punch the date onto the card. I believe the only places that carry the lanyards are the photoshops.

You can add photos onto the PP+ later as long as you have the "number" for the photo (like on attraction photos), but I'm not sure how you can get the free photo package at Goofy's that you get as part of using PP+.

Is there any way to go to the parks the night before to get the PP+?

I don't know about Goofy's Kitchen, but they activated ours at Surf's Up. With any luck, someone with Goofy's Kitchen experience will chime in.

That's good to know. I just get paranoid about them not being able to do it at the restaurant or getting a CM who's unsure, and missing out on the free $40 photo package! :rotfl: If you can do it other places, I'd love to know!

Lately I've seen reports of people saying they were able to activate it at the restaurants. I was also told via email that we could activate ours at Goofy's.

We went to Goofys on our first night (25 Aug) and asked the pp photographer. They told us to go to the shop in Main Street the next day and tell them the time we had our photo taken. Worked for us, they certainly didn't have any lanyards at GK. also recommend going in to the shop every couple of days to check for musing photos or missing magic shots. We nearly lost a few that way but managed to recover them all

Can you tell me more about this? You had them on the card but just didn't show up online? So you had to track them down manually with the photo shop personnel?

We bought the PP+ package AT the Surf's Up breakfast. I would think that if you can buy it there, then they can activate it there. But that's logic speaking.

I have seen reports of people being able to activate it at Goofy's lately.

Even if you can't though, don't worry. They'll work it out for you. We did Goofy's on arrival night last December and were told they couldn't activate it that night. But they told us to go to the photo shop at the park the next day and they printed the photos there. They even had the Goofy's folder to put them in.

That's good to know! Didn't know if the PB&J recipe was a Goofy's exclusive!! :rotfl:

So, you can activate the account at the restaurant, but you need to go to the photo store to get the physical lanyard, is that right?

They didn't really activate it for us at the restaurant, just let us know how to still get the photos when we activated it the next day in the park. As I said I have read various reports that they can now activate it at the restaurant. I assume that means they give you the lanyard then, but don't know for certain.
