I was just double checking my rate for 8/15-8/16 at RPR - and it shows no rooms available. But there is appears to be plenty of room at HRH and PBH. My concern is do you think the crowds would be heavier because 1 hotel is at capacity?

Thanks.

There seem to be plenty of king rooms available at RPR.

I've stayed at PBH when every last room was taken, but you wouldn't have known it from either the hotel or the parks. So... I wouldn't go by that.

I think TP crowd calendars for WDW tend to closely mirror what you'll find at Universal, relatively speaking -- that along with room rates and Universal park hours can usually help you guess-timate how busy your travel period will be.

probably because the alloted rooms for booking with the AP have been sold out for that time period.

like damo said, the king rooms/suites are available.

sometimes a travel agency will hold a block of rooms for them to sell in a package.

if they are not sold, then the block of rooms is returned to the hotel.

at that point, you would see rooms available again.

usually the TA will release the rooms back to the hotel about a couple of weeks out.

One year in the past, and only one year, i did see rph let the rooms they did not book, go for a discounted rate in order to fill them up.

not everyone books a room a few weeks before they plan their vacation.

or if there is a convention booked at that hotel, they could take up a lot of rooms for the time period you are checking.

that doesn't mean the parks will be full.
when it is a convention, those peeps are tied up during the day.

just my speculation.
