Question about free financing on Disney Visa for Disney trips

Does it apply to purchases of packages through discount travel websites like getawaytoday or travelocity or expedia? I would love to buy my tickets with a package, but was wondering if they would be free financing for 6 months. Or does it only apply to packages purchased thru the Disney website or phone reservations?

And if it does apply to discount web sites, do Good Neighbor hotels count for free financing?

Thanks for any help! I may call Visa tomorrow with questions, but you never know how helpful the person answering the phone may be.

From what I have read on the Disney Visa website, you have to purchase your Disney vacation through the WDTC in order to get the free financing.

Here is the terms & conditions quote from their site:

You will automatically receive this 0% APR for 6 months, for each qualifying Disney Rewards Visa Card purchase, provided that any payment on your account is not past due at the time of purchase. Valid for certain U.S. Theme Park ticket-inclusive Disney vacation packages (minimum one-night stay plus a Magic Your Way Base Ticket at Walt Disney World® Resort / two nights at a Disneyland® Resort) and all Disney Cruise Line® packages and Adventures by Disney packages of $101 up to a maximum $10,000 per transaction charged to Disney Rewards Visa Card prior to your arrival and booked by you or your travel agent through Walt Disney Travel Company or Disney Cruise Line®. See "Rate, Fee and other Cost Information" sections for additional APR details. Certain restrictions and exclusions apply. You will receive complete terms and conditions for this offer once you become a cardmember.

Although, I think I have read about people on the Dis getting the free financing by booking through AAA or Costco. Perhaps others will have a different answer for you.

I learned recently that other Disney-authorized agencys can also trigger the 0% on the Disney Visa, sort of speak. Just check your statement carefully to make sure that everything is in order after you place your deposit. The special financing shows up at the bottom of the statement.

So I would just make sure you check with whatever company you are working with to ensure that the Disney Visa 0% is applicable.
