I know that the Free Dining Plan Promotion is never guaranteed but that if it does come out, it is usually late august to september.

My question is: If you book your stay and only one of the nights (first or last) falls within the free dining plan promotion, does it apply to your whole stay?

That would be great!
It may just be the straw that breaks my dad's haystack (oh you know what I mean) into saying "yes" to a WDW trip next summer!

Some other key points I'll bring up
- my mom might be a working nurse, with no vacation time
- I will have a lot of school debt
- my little sister won't be a "child" in Disney's eyes and we have to pay full price for her, too :scared1:
- We might not live to 2011!

In the past if your trip started before free dining, then no you would not get it. The only way to do it, was to make two reservations, buying at least a one day park ticket for everyone in your room, for both reservations. You would not get the free dining for the first part of your trip, but would get it for the second pkg from the time of the free dining date. In other words if free dining was to start August 28th and you were staying August 25th-31th, you would book a pkg from August 25th-28th, then book another pkg (with at least one day park tickets again) for the 28th-31th. On the 28th you would have to go back downstairs and check in again and get free dining on the new room keys for the last three days (you would only be eligible for it the last three nights of the trip).

In the past as long as you were checked in by the last day of free dining, you could get it for your entire stay. People this year who booked the bounceback program were able to get it for their entire length of stay, as long as they were checked in by the last day. However, the promos and discounts that have been running since Jan 1st this year have all stated that your entire trip must fall within the promos dates or you won't get it. So who knows if free dining will be the same way?:confused3

In the past you were able to extend free dining after the promo ended as long as you checked in on the last day of the promo.Since Jan 2008 Disney has changed the policy so that in order to be eligible for a promo or discount all trip dates must fall within the dates of said promo or discount. So if you check in on last day of free dining, only that day would have free dining. Now whether or not they enforce this is a different story.I know some people were able to extend their bounceback offers this year, and others were told no they couldn't.:goodvibes

This is horrible news!

If the Free Dining starts the last week of August then we can't go. Silly edumacation! It was really a turning point but maybe I can still convince my dad with the whole my sister still being at "child" price thing.

I REALLY want to go!

I know I won't be going to WDW anytime soon after that because of college BUT I will have a DL annual pass (I'll be 15 minutes away!)
