Question about free dining package...

Hopefully someone knows the answer to this one? I have a six night ressie with free dining and am so excited that my friend just found out that she can join me. The catch is that she won't be arriving until day four of a six night stay. The CM added my friend onto the ressie and put her on the dining plan! The question is what happens to the three days worth of food points that she won't be using until the fourth day? Could we use the TS credits to enjoy 2 table meals in one day? Do the credits stay attatched to her park tickets so that they can only be used by her one at a time?

Any help is SO appreciated!!!

We had free dining in early october and had a similar situation. My brother was not with us the whole trip.

Yes, if there are 'extra' dining credits you can use them any way you like. As long as you are in the same room, they will all be on BOTH of your cards, meaning, anyone in your party can use as many as they would like until they are gone. My parents ate at a 2 point restuarant using my brothers extra meals that he didnt use.

How did you get "free" dining after the expiration? The point being is that someone is paying for the dining. No use paying for something that you won't get full use out of.

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing? I figure that I maybe just missed a new promotion or somthing, but I cant find anything? How did you get it free, OP?

I'm not sure! I called and added her to the ressie--I had already used a code to get my free dining-- and they added it on. I also added 2 more nights to the ressie and her base tickets, and they did it.

Yes sorry I read "free dining" & forget everything else. As of today the credits are pooled so you would be able to use your friends credits before they arrive.

No, I've never been lucky enough for a pin code. The code that I used was YQE. I found it here on the DIS when it first came out. It's a MYW with free dining.

That's why we're confused the free dining promotion is over.

It's not the free dining. That promotion ended for check-ins Oct 4th. You have a package that includes dining and you got a discount on your package which is good.

However if you want to add your friend and you think you all could use her credits before she arrives then do so. It will give you an extra table service meal a day until she arrives and you can use the extra CS credits for your 3rd meal after she arrives or have her use up 2 cs a day.

Just wanted to confirm this is true. I also have a Dec trip booked with YQE. It is by NO means free dining, just a discounted package with the full dining price added into it. I think overall we saved around $300, so certainly not even comparable to free dining. Maybe if you are 1 person the discount may be equivalent?

I think that is correct. I saw others on another board who thought the same but it was because the discount = their dining price or close to it. Definitely not free dining with the code. We are a party of 8 checking in Dec 16 with MYW and dining and I think we saved somewhere in the neighborhood of 300.00 also. (too bad it wasn't free dining..though I was happy with whatever discount free dining would have saved us around 1500.00)
