Question about Free Dining in Nov.08

I would appreciate anyone's knowledge or advice since I am a 1st timer.
Here's my situation: I am booked at VWL (through a friend who is a DVC Member) for November 12th-18th. Is it possible for me to get the free dining using the Disney Visa? I purchased park hoppers separately. Can anyone tell me? or does the free dining not apply to me? I am not sure. Any advice or help would be greatly greatly appreciated!!

You cannot get free dining if you are staying on DVC points (yours or someone else's). Free dining is available only with a rack rate room/tickets package.

Even if you have already purchased tickets, then you must also purchase at least a one-day base park ticket with your package in order to get free dining.

You can buy the dining plan if you have the owner of the points add it to your DVC reservation, you just can't get it free.
