Question about FP in regards to a someone already using the DAS

We will be taking my young adult son with moderate Autism back to Disneyland for the first time since they did away with the GAC. I think I understand well enough how the DAS works, but I have a question about Fastpasses...we want to use them in conjunction with the DAS so that he can ride his favorites a second time in the same day (which is important to him). Here's my question: If I were to get four fastpasses with our four tickets, then my son and his older sister (his official ride companion...she's fearless on everything, unlike her dad and me) could ride twice...once using their fastpasses, and once using the extra two from my husband and myself. Correct? Now, what I am concerned about is that either my husband or myself can stay in the FP line with them even though we aren't riding. My daughter is happy to ride the rides with him, but I don't want to burden her with pushing him in the wheelchair by herself (she's petite and he's 6'2, 190 lbs). And, if he were to start stressing out in line, I don't want her to have to handle it herself. Will they allow us to stay with him even though we won't be riding and won't have FP? Thanks.

You need a FP for all the riders in the line (at least this is how WDW works). My suggestion to you if certain rides you know your son will want to ride back to back times then maybe try and get a DAS time in conjunction with the FP time. Now I am not familiar with DL only WDW, but for example lets say you have a fast pass time for Small World for 10:00AM-11:00AM, you could check on the Disney app to see what the particular wait time is for small world and lets say its a 30 minute wait. You could hit small world around 9:30 for a return time on your DAS and that way when you are done riding the ride on your FP you can just jump in line again with your DAS. We had to do that for a couple rides with my son at WDW. Space Mountain was the BIGGEST prob bc if he could he would just go on it over and over and over again! Anyways hope this helps!

for the most part they will not allow you inline with out a Fast pass even if you are not going to ride. with that said I hurt my foot one trip and I had to use a wheel chair I could not push the wheel chair my self I had a DAS return time for test track and my friend did not the CM let my friend in so she could push me ( it was pretty obvious that I could not puh my self that easy) I would 1 ask and exspet the CM to say no and if they say yes be great full but that is dough full since there is already someone with him

Are there specific rides that he'll be riding and you'll be skipping? Several rides at DL are not WC accessible through the standard queue and they wouldn't go through the FP return anyway. Also, you can't double dip and have a DAS return and WC return at the same time. You might want to ask at the kiosk before getting a DAS return time if you'd be better off going directly to certain rides and getting a WC return instead.
