Question about FP+ and Baby Swap

Howdy! I'm new and new to trip planning, so I appreciate all the help I can get!

I will be traveling with DH, and DD (3) and our FP+ window opens up this weekend.

I've read online that if we both want to ride Space Mountain and the baby isn't tall enough, I only need to book one FP+ for him, and then we all go to the ride and I get the Rider Swap pass. Right?

But...DH called Disney to try and find out if we need FP+ for both adults if we are using Baby Swap. He got two different answers--one said yes, one said no.

So which is it? Do I just book FP+ for Space for him, and get the Rider Swap or do I have to book 2 FP+ for both of us to ride, even with Rider Swap?

You will only need one FP. Just bring the baby with you to the front of the line. You will scan your magic band to show you have a FP. The Cast Member will let you get on and give your husband the rider swap pass. When you go to use the pass. Your husband will give the pass to the Cast Member at the front of the FP line and he will get to ride. He will not have to scan his magic band. This is a good way to get to ride both Rockin' Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror since they are both tier 1 and you can only choose one per magic band.

This. We had no problems at all doing this during our trip. Do keep in mind that the attractions your DD can ride, she will need a FP if you want to FP those.

Yup. You only need one FP. We've been three times in the last year with our 3 year old and have done this a number of times. Enjoy!
