question about forwarding Mousesavers

I have a question about forwarding the mousesavers newsletter. I know we're allowed to forward it but we cannot post the link. But my question doesn't pertain to that exactly. Do people get on the DISboards to troll for email addies by requesting the link? It seems there's alot of newbies who want the link. I am hoping that the rest of us already get the newsletter and that's why the newbies are the ones that want it.

Sorry I don't mean to offend anyone, newbies especially, but just wondering--yeah, I'm a worry wart.

That's an interesting question. If you're concerned, I would set up a gmail, yahoo, or other free e-mail account. Then forward anything like the Mousesavers newsletter from your primary e-mail address to your newly-created 'junk' address, then forward it from there.

Not that I'm paranoid or anything... :lmao:

Thanks.

It's not like I don't already have half dozen emails from those sights. It's weird how you wind up with so many for a variety of reasons.

I've always wondered why people can't sign up for it themselves? If you have an address to have it forwarded to, couldn't you just sign up for it? I must be missing something:confused3

Because it is only sent on the 15th of each month and sometimes people need to buy their tix before the next 15th of the month. That's why people ask for it.

Thank you! I have been wondering forever. It figures it's something so simple!

You could PM the link and solve the problem

Mary Waring of Mousesavers has asked that the link not be posted or shared without forwarding the entire newsletter. I respect the wishes of the site owner and only do that.

I've wondered the same thing. That's why I don't click on links requesting Mousesavers. I worry that my trying to be helpful will come back to hurt me. (I know ... I'm OCD on top of being a worry wart.)

I didn't know that - I have never done it but was just thinking of a solution - could you copy and paste the whole newsletter or is it HTML? I agree if Mary doesn't want that then hercwishes should be respected!!!!!

I don't even have a current one so I couldn't tell you, but she has been here on the boards before and said "okay to forward, but please don't post the link" so to me, copying the entire newsletter here would basically be the same thing, right? I assume it's her agreement with UT, or other advertisers, or something.

To be honest I think that would be a very inefficient way to gather up email addresses. It doesn't seem worth the effort.
