Question About Flying With Disney

In September of 2007, my family and I will be headed down to Disney for the land/sea vacation. Talking to Disney many times on the phone they have asked me about air transportation. I have told them no thank you. (Because in the past we have always bought our own tickets). But now I'm thinking that this may be something we may want to do. So has anyone here ever flown with Disney? If so what airlines do they fly with, and when is the best time to call Disney and ask them about adding this to my package. Also, because I am flying with Disney do I still have to pay for the ground transportation to the hotel, or is that included in the price? Thank you in advance for all your help!

Disney is just the travel agent. They will book you on the flights that you want. Northwest, Delta, American, United, Southwest etc.

You wont end up with a no name airline. I cant remember if you will get free magical express. Do a search to find out about Magical Express program

Disney's Magical Express (DME) is FREE and available to ANYONE who is a registered guest at a WDW owned-and-operated resort. Doesn't matter whether it's package or room only, doesn't matter who you bought what from, if you're staying at a WDW owned-and-operated resort you get round-trip DME transportation between MCO and your resort.

On your arrival leg, you also get FREE automatic luggage transfer -- once you check it in at your home airport, you won't see it again until it's INSIDE your resort room. On the way home, some people get to check their luggage in at their resort, others have to take it to the airport with them, depending on what airline you fly.

DME is a bus, a plush motor coach. It is also a shared ride. There can be people on your bus from up to 3 other resorts.

The average reported time from plane landing to DME drop off at resort is 70 minutes. Part of the time savings is that you get to skip baggage claim entirely.
