Hi everyone! I have been collecting Disney DVDs for my children for several years now, whenever they are released from the vault:lovestruc

Since my kids are still really young (4,2 & 6 months) they have not seen a lot of the DVDs we have. Every once in a while I get out a new one and it's so fun to introduce them to the movies I loved as a child. Recently I opened our Robin Hood DVD and it would not play. Not at all. I took it out of the player to discover that it has a distinct flaw on the back, in the plastic. The release date was 2006, so I have had that DVD, unopened, for 3 years!

Is there anything I can do? I've heard toothpaste can fix scratches, but this is a pretty deep divot. It wouldn't matter except who knows when I can purchase another one? I guess I'll just start scouring yard sales

hmmm... I'm not sure how to go about fixing a scratch. I would probably just buy another copy. I know that it is still available on amazon.

How do I replace a damaged DVD?
If you accidentally damage or break one of your Disney DVDs, you can get a replacement disc for a nominal charge of $6.95.

Please mail in your damaged DVD (along with DVD case and full packaging), a Check or Money order for $6.95 (made payable to WDHE), along with your Contact Information (Name, Address, and Phone Number) to:

Replacement Program
PO Box 3100
Neenah, WI 54957-3100.

Not sure about DVDs, but I have had CDs that wouldn't play. I copied them and burned a new disc and the copy plays just fine. :)

Our local video rental store offers DVD repair for a few bucks. I used it once and seemed to do the trick with a DVD that would hang-up while watching it.
