If you get a Space FP at 8:05am, then it's possible for the Return Time to be 8:50am to 9:50am.

I think that you can get another FP for the same ride at the start of the Return Time -- in this example, 8:50am.

Are you saying that if the Return Time for Space is 9:30am to 10:30am, then you can get another Space FP at 9:30am? (If your answer is "yes," then I agree.)

If the Return Time is 9:30am to 10:30am, why would someone try to get another FP at 8:50am? You lost me there.

Here's another example:
Are you saying that if someone gets a Space FP in the mid-morning, and the Return Time is 4:00pm to 5:00pm, then in theory the next time that person could get another Space FP (using the same ticket) would be at 4:00pm? (If your answer is "yes," then I agree.)

Ow! My brain! I think you're completely right. I just recall trying the trick to get 3 Space Mountain FPs and getting an error FP for my troubles. I thought it was early in the day but I guess it wasn't 8:05 early. But I know the issue was because we already held a Space Mountain FP. Your "other example" is correct.

Even so, I still would personally try to get 2 different FPs in that third window, instead of getting 1 FP and not getting anything on the second ticket. That way you have 2 full "sets" of FPs in 3 windows, instead of needing 4 windows.

My only real problem will be getting my husband to make a guest appearance at the Dland gate in the morning so I can collect his FPs!
Ok one more question: Do you need to go through the gates at both parks to be able to collect FPs at both parks?
None of this has been an issue for us before because we always went to Disneyland for just a vacation so we always just went into the park together first thing in the morning. We're still paying a lot for our Hoppers so I want my husband to get the most out of it with the limited time he has.

Ok one more question: Do you need to go through the gates at both parks to be able to collect FPs at both parks?

Currently, entering one gate will activate your tickets to get FPs at both parks.

Do you have Magic Morning with your tickets? If so, maybe your husband can get to the park for that. I don't know if he'd have time to do much or if it would just be for a ticket scan but either one is something.
