Our issue is a late morning riser in our group. At the 60 day mark when we can reserve our FP, and we request our 3 for the park of the day. Then we have hope, with fingers crossed, that on each day, we might get another FP later on. Which brings me to my question. If our group, with the late riser still sleeping in, goes to the a park of the day and use one or two of our FP. Then the late riser meets us but hasn't used his first 2 FP because he was sleeping, he then uses our 3rd scheduled of the day, can he get the 4th one when we all get one later in the day? What happens if he can't be there for the first 2 FP, can we cancel? then would our groups 4th FP later on be his 2nd FP?

So confused?:scared::upsidedow

can he get the 4th one when we all get one later in the day?
Yes. His first 2 FPs will expire. Don’t Cancel them; allow them to Expire and your 4th FP will also be his 4th FP.

when he arrives after two expired, he can still go on the that 3rd FP we had reserved?

Yes. His FP#3 is valid.

Always make sure his expired FPs remain expired and don’t Cancel them by mistake as this can affect FP#4 booking in Tiered FP Parks.

Why not rope drop popular attractions and when the late raiser arrives have all 3 FP+s when the parks are most crowded? We never fastpass before 10:00 or 2 hours after opening. If he/she arrives by 11:00 you can still have all your fastpasses complete by around 1:00. This way you don't waste fastpasses in the early morning and your late riser doesn't lose his/her fastpasses either. Just a thought.

This is our strategy as well. We get a lot done in the morning hours and I feel a FP would usually be a waste. Not always though.

When is your trip? The busiest holiday, such as Xmas Day or NYE or 4th of July in MK may be a challenge. However, on all other days, except for things like Pandora and possibly FEA/7DMT, no need to hope with fingers crossed that you can get another FP+. You will have no problems getting more FP+ later on.

Everyone has different FP+ strategies and there's no "wrong" way to do it. We're not rope drop people in that we will never stand outside the gates for 45 minutes. However, sometimes we will try to make it right when the gates open. Even with that, we still always try to use our first 3 FP+ as fast as we can. Schedule them back to back to back and try to then move them up. That way we can get on the headliner rides right away, and then score them again as 4th, 5th, 6th FP+ later. We can always do the attractions that don't need FP+ anytime, so we use up our 3 FP+ as quick as we can.

Yes Klayfish, we will be there for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and several days after. so CRAZY busy times. I know that there is a strong chance that we won't get more than the three FP that we reserve at 60 days. We are prepared for that just don't want to mess up if there is more available. Thanks!
