Question About Fantasmic Dinner Package??

I'm so confused

I booked my family the Fantasmic Dinner Package--we're eating a really early dinner at Mama Melrose's Italian restaurant (3:35pm).

Does anyone know whether this restaurant, as a part of the Fantasmic package, "makes" you order a specific Fantasmic prix fixe menu..or can I order anything I want off the menu?

The reason why I ask is b/c we have a late lunch ressie at another restaurant, and I'm concerned that we won't be hungry at all. I couldn't get us a later dinner time at Mama Melrose.

There are no late dinner fantasmic packages, they are all early.

I don't think there is a separate menu for fantasmic packages, but I'm not sure. However, I am pretty sure you have to order a dinner for each person who will be going to Fantasmic. Again, not positive.

I would suggest canceling the late lunch ADR, and having a late breakfast/brunch instead.

It´s a package but you choose what to order. If your on the dining plan you also get an appetizer. It´s great value!!!

I'd cancel the lunch resi.

MM F! package oddly enough enables you to order an app, a meal and a desert off of the regular menu, and use a 1 TS DDP credit. Usual 1 TS DDP only allow you the meal and the desert. Many of the apps there are "for 2", but each adult can actually order their own "app for 2".

With the app it is alot of food. There's also the traditional bread at the table that we all eat too much of.

We made the mistake in 2009 of having a late lunch and early F! pkg dinner. This year we skipped the lunch and it was a good decision. We just used out snack to tide us over until dinner. I'd advise to follow this.

agree with PP, Mama Melrose is a lot of food - cancel the lunch - or schedule a late breakfast around 10:30.

Mama Melrose Fantasmic package is a fixed price meal -- it's around $38 or $40 per adult...and though you get to choose which app/entree/dessert you want off the full menu, and you don't have to eat it all--if you want the tickets, you will have to pay the set rate for the package whether or not you eat it all so would be a total waste to go in there still full from lunch. (In other words, you can't go in and just pay for coffee & dessert to get the tickets...each person has to pay for the fixed-price-package.)

And do keep trying for a later time if you'd prefer one...even if Fantasmic is at 6:30 you can get later than 3:35. We have a 4:00 in January, which is probably one of the latest they give out for 6:30, because that would allow about 90 minutes to eat & walk up to the theater by 5:45. You'll want to be walking in the theater about 45 minutes before the show.

Get rid of the lunch and keep Mama Melrose's. The portions are quite large (love the calamari for two). Maybe just have CS breakfast at the resort or just have a snack. 3:30 will sneak up on you before you know it.
