Question about Evening EMH hour entry!

After a quick search for a couple of terms I could not find any related threads to my question.

Basically - if you are staying onsite can you enter a park with the Evening Extra Magic Hour AFTER the official start time for it, or do you have to be present in the park before the Evening Magic Hour starts?

I am starting to think about an itinery and after learning that the Universal parks and Seaworld shut at 6pm most of September, I thought it would be nice to book some ADR's in the late opening parks for a late evening meal. This is only possible if I will be allowed entry after the EMH starts.

You can enter the park after EMH begins, your KTTW card will let you in. You will need to show this to be able to ride the rides.
