My mums been in charge of doing all the booking for our trip to DLP and she has just been informed we will be travelling first class to DLP with Eurostar, she was told we will get a meal on the train but it will be a packed lunch type meal. After having a look at the Eurostar website I am confused because the first class passengers get a nice meal but standard class get nothing, has this happened to anyone else and which class should we be expecting to travel in?

Also has anyone else travelled from St Pancreas yet? If so whats it like there? Is it as magical as they make it out to be?:confused3

You only get a meal included when you travel 1st class. You can buy food on the train but when I travelled lots of people were complaining about the queue length.

Your ticket will say what class you are travelling in.

I think on the DLP direct train they have leisure select (1st class but not aimed at business people) we went on this about a year ago and you get a packed lunch meal in a disney box, had a drink, rolls (1 cheese and 1 tuna), choc and piece of fruit.

We went from St P on wednesday and came home yesterday. the station still hasn't been finished so there isnt a great deal there and there is still some building work going on. A little bit of advice after you have checked-in there is just seating and a small coffee area and a small news agents, so do all you last minute shopping of food buying before you go through check-in/security.

Before you go through there was a smiths, body shop, marks food store, paperchase and a coffee shop. Looks shiney and new but not as many shops as waterloo had. As far as the speed of the train... it goes so fast!!!! you really feel it when it pulls out of london :rotfl:. also not sure if this is the norm now but on the way there and the way home the train made an extra stop at lielle europe??? not sure why this was and its going to be the norm from now?

Thankyou both of you for your help, it sounds like we will be travelling leisure select then and thanks for the extra tips Mrs Stonfiesta, I have made note!! :thumbsup2

We always had a hot cooked meal (breakfast on the way out, dinner with wine on the return trip) with Leisure Select but this was from Waterloo, not St Pancras. I would not have been happy if I was only given a packed lunch.

we had for breakfast juice orange or apple, fresh banana small hot breakfast was sausage, ommlette, beans, potato. with a bread bun and a crossant and a pot iof jam with tea or coffee
