I apologize if my question is too off topic but this was the best place I could think of to post this oddball question.

I'm looking at some farmstays in Denmark and Sweden and I was wondering if someone could tell be the difference between 1/4 board vs. 1/2 board? I believe it has something to do with the amount of dining included, but I'd sure appreciated some European insight into this term.

TIA

1/2 board is bed, breakfast and evening meal and 1/4 is bed and breakfast! I'm not sure why they state 1/4 board - its not a term commonly used. I think its probably a bad translation.

Thank you very much. That would have been my guess, but I wanted to make sure I understood it correctly.
