Longtime lurker, first time poster ... Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer!

I'm planning a two family vacation to the Polynesian in February -- eight people ranging in age from 2-50. I'm having a blast with ADR's. My question is about a reservation at the San Angel Inn at Epcot. We all love this restaurant and are planning to spend our "adult night out" there and I've made a ressie for 830.

Now, I'm kind of wondering what the atmosphere will be like. Obviously, we're not trying to see Illuminations that night and want to just linger over dinner and drinks. Will we feel rushed out at 9? I see that you can book reservations until 845, so I'm assuming they continue service until everyone is finished, but I wanted to your reaction, since this is our night out and we want to enjoy it.

Thanks!

They won't rush you out, lots of people book the latest adr times in WS restaurants ..No worries

As the PP said, they won't rush you out. Last trip we had several dinner reservations close to closing. By the time we finished, the park was closed, but it was a lot of fun walking out. Everything was very quiet and peaceful. It was a great way to unwind from the day.

Lovely setting too if you want to linger over your drinks afterwards.:thumbsup2 Do you know that you will need to call to make reservations for 8 people? Good to know you are having fun with your ADRs. Most people find it the most stressful part of the planning. I think we all psych each other up on here to feel that way. :rotfl:

Welcome to the DIS! :goodvibes

My girlfriend and I love to take advantage of the last ADR's of the night in the parks while we still can (no kids... that I know of). We find that the wait staff will rush you less at the end of the night then durring peak meal times. The walks back to the bus, as a previous poster said, is very quiet and peaceful.. and in a good way it is a little creepy. You wont be rushed out of EPCOT either, so take your time and enjoy it.:thumbsup2

Thank you all so much, that was exactly what I was hoping to hear!

This particular reservation was only for 5 (since we're leaving the kiddies with a sitter) so it was pretty easy to secure. With 8 people I was SUPER concerned that we get good ADRs... I could just see us wandering around mumbling to each other "where do you want to eat, no where do you want to eat ..."LOL!

Luckily, we're splurging on the Poly concierge and they have been amazing helping me get the ADR's I wanted and tweaking things when I change my mind for the hundredth time! I have been able to make several reservations for myself, for 8 people, online, but there were several places that required a call for that many people.

Thanks again!
