Question about entrance into Park from GC

From what I read you can access the park directly from GC. I will be there a few nights and on the last day my niece and nephew will join. They will have 1 day park tickets, so will they be able to use the entrance or do you have to be an actual hotel guest?

It depends on the time of day. Only hotel guests are allowed to use the GCH entrance into DCA first thing in the morning (especially on EMH mornings), but by mid-morning they allow everyone to use it. I've also read that if you have a receipt from Storytellers breakfast that you can use the GCH entrance before they generally allow non-hotel guests to use it.

If it wouldn't put you over capacity, you could talk to the front desk about adding them officially to your room for that day. Maybe they have that ability.

Let it be known that you will be required to join The Loyal Order of Water Buffaloes Lodge No. 26. a secret handshake and or dance, it all depends upon the whim of the Grand Poo ba will be required as well. Also one will need to know the secret password. In order to access this special entrance.

The lodge's secret password is "Ack, Ack, A-Dak"

Are their tickets 1day/1park or 1day Hopper's?

Keep in mind the park entrance from the GCH is only into Disney California Adventure not Disneyland.
Since they will be joining you for your last day, ask a CM at the GCH entrance to DCA on one of your previous days.
For the first thing in the morning we prefer to go to the main gates. My grandkids say there's more magic going through the main gates.
I feel it's easier to enter at the main gates. The GCH entrance gets very congested first thing in the morning.

If they only have 1day/1park tickets, I'd go to Disneyland rather than Disney California Adventure, then it doesn't matter.

The GC entrance is not recommended at park open. It is better to go to the main gate as they process guests much faster....

Before 11am, they request to see room keys. After 11am, they no longer look for keys.
