Question about EMH at Hollywood Studios

I have a Park Hopper pass and I have scheduled my FP+ for the morning at Epcot and plan to hop over to Hollywood Studios in the early evening. At Hollywood Studios that day there are extra EVENING magic hours. I have never participated in evening hours so I have a question how they handle line rides at the start of the extra hours. For example, I realize that I will no longer be able to get a fast pass for Toy Story Mania, so I am wondering if I head over to Toy Story Mania at the start of the extra hours, will I be able to ride soon (similar to rope drop). I am also interested in hearing about any strategies/experiences for getting the most out of those 2 extra hours. Thanks for the help!

Unlikely, sorry. Standby waits should die by the end of EMH, but not at the beginning.

Do they start new lines at the start of the extra time or can you line up way beforehand?

So if you aren't entitled to evening EMH do your bands not work after the end of regular hours? Just wondering.

You need to scan your Magic band (with valid room attached)to enter a queue after the EMH starts
But normal theme park guests can continue to enter the queue before the EMH

If EMHs start at 10pm, offsite guests can still enter the line at 9:59pm. So if it's a 2 hour wait at 9:30, it's probably going to be the same at 10 when EMH's start. They don't clear out the lines or park.

It's for on site guests only, so during EMH every guest enters the FP line and scans their band to show a registered on site room attached. Off site guests can remain in the park, but they can't ride the rides.
