Question about DVC title documents

We recently completed the purchase of our DVC property and was curious about the title documents.

We received the Policy of Title Insurance and the Warranty Deed. Will we be receiving an actual deed from the county it was recorded in or is this all we will get to show ownership?

Can anyone answer this? Thanx

You should get a copy of the paper work. If your home is at one of the WDW DVC's, go to this link and you can pull up your deed.

Thanks, BillPA for that link. I just looked up our new deed and there it is. It is nice to see that the county has our new deed on file!

Weird! I looked up our deed and Mortgage and it said that the interest was in unit 31A at the Beach Club Villas. Our points are at the Boardwalk! I even went to look up the actual paperwork that we signed to make sure the mistake wasn't on there too. Should I be at all concerned? There was no internet image to look at.

Thank you Bill, but I geuss I should have mentioned that I have Vero Beach points. Unfortunately VB is not in Orange County so it isnt listed.

If anyone knows of a similar sight for Indian River County which is where VB is located,it would be appreciated.

Hrmm... you should probably tell your agent and have them double-check because they'd need to figure out where the papers went wrong and have them notify the county of the error.

The deed that is filed and stamped by the county gets sent to you. Check it.

Wow. There are two people I know who are DVC members. I just went and found out how many points they own. I sort of feel like I've done something wrong, but I guess this is public information.
