has anyone ever asked to change who their DVC sales guide is?? Nothing personal towards anyone, just out of convenience or for lack of good service??

Our DVC guide, who we LOVED, is no longer with DVC. We jsut got a call from who is our NEW guide. She sounds wonderful, BUT she is in CA. We want someone we can meet personally and we dont go to DL. Just wanted to know if anyone else has ever requested someone new.

thanks!

You can call the main DVC number, and tell them your problem. You should know that they are VERY resistent about changing guides, but you have a legitimate concern. Be aware that you may need to ask to speak to a manager to get anything done; nevertheless, go thru the chain of command. good luck!:santa:

We changed Guides via a 2 minute phone call, no questions asked. DVC wants you to be happy. :) Happy people buy more points. Search the boards for Guide recommendations.

My original guide left - I got a "hi" phone call from a new guide that sounded a bit...well, not for me. I called back to give her a chance. She and I just didn't click .... at all. At the end of the call, she finally told me she was part time anyway. I said I wanted a full time guide. She immediately said ok and handed me over to someone else.

I spent five minutes on the phone with him, liked him. He's new, but he was able to answer my questions - even the ones I thought for sure he'd get wrong. I explained why I'm concerned (two BIG issues when buying our original points and our complete inability to handle any pressure sales of any kind) and he was good about it all. He even said if we didn't like him, we could change anytime.

So yes, I believe you can change guides. :thumbsup2

Thanks everyone!!!! We will call and see what they can do for us!

Yes, You can change and you should change if you are not 100% satisfied w/ your guide.....

We changed guides, and it is now like day and night!!!
Our new guide returns phone calls very prompt, updates us, even when we call just to ask about prices, rumors, etc. he always sits and talks w/ us never making us feel we are wasting his time.

Silly question but who is your guide, the person who showed you round on the DVc tour or the person you initially contacted about DVC?

I beleive it would be the guide who gave you the tour....
Just call member services, and I'm sure they will tell you your guides name and direct tel. #.

If your guide happens to be Heidi Schimke, she is a great guide. She transfered from WDW to DLR about 2 years ago. She has always returned my calls promptly, and even calls back on her days off. Do you really plan on visiting your guide in person every time you go to WDW?

1) They are the same as any other timeshare salesperson.
2) If you want to change, just ask.
3) Disney will change easily for you.
