Question About DVC Parking

We have a party of 10 staying at the Wilderness Lodge in a few months. Eight of us will be in a 2 bedroom at CCV, and another 2 will be in a standard room at the the hotel. We are coming to the resort in 2 separate vehicles, 6 in one and 4 in the other.
As long as part of our party staying at CCV is making use of each vehicle, will we be able to park both cars under our DVC ownership? Or, because 2 of our party (non-DVC members) are staying in a normal hotel room, will they have to pay a daily parking fee for the car that they are in?
Thanks for helping me out, I couldn't find the answer anywhere doing my own searching.

8 people = 2 cars. Just say that both cars are for the 2 bed villa. You only need to show a room key or drivers license to bypass the gate. They're not going to look at if you paid parking.

Thanks. That was what I was thinking, but I didn't want to be skirting the rules if that wasn't the case.

When your guests in the second car arrive, they just need to have the magic band of someone staying in the villa be tapped, not the guest staying in the hotel room.

I have noticed you can ask for what seems like unlimited number parking passes. We had 1BR and I got 3 of them.

They don't give out parking passes any more. They use your magic band.

It might be a good idea for the people in the hotel room to say "No." if they are asked if they have a car during check in. If they say yes, then I imagine the charge would be added to their bill.

Both cars should be attached to the DVC check in.

You might need to be careful about whose Magic Band the drivers of the cars use. I am not sure how sophisticated the system is, but there might be an issue at the resort parking gate and theme park parking lots if the Magic Band of the hotel guest is used.

I haven't rented a car since this started but I don't think you "attach" a car at check-in. In the past, they just asked if you had a car to give you the parking pass.

If Jim and Sue are registered to the hotel room and use one of their magic bands at the gate, they may be charged.

Yeah it will take a little finagling to make sure that our party has at least one of us on the DVC restoration in the car with the ones who are not, but considering it's all extended family it shouldn't be too difficult. Worth the hassle to save $25 a day in my mind.

They don't give parking passes anymore. At least they haven't handed out paper ones in at least a year.

My concern was that if they answer "Yes." to the 'do you have a car?' question, the check in clerk will add the line item to their bill. Likewise if they drive up to the security post and use a Magic Band without a car attached... The result could be nothing, or it could automatically add the line item to their bill, or possibly just not let them have access at all (since that band 'technically' has no car attached to it).

For $25 a night, I don't think it's worth the risk. Nor is it worth trying to explain the situation to the front desk person.

We've had four cars at one time attached to a DVC reservation in the past, with no issue and no charge. Normally we have one or two, sometimes three.

When they first check in if you guys are not with them, they should tell the guard at the gate to the resort that they are either coming to visit Someone or they plan to eat at a restaurant.

then as soon as possible give them one of your magic bands from someone staying in the DVC points room, and have them use that from then on when they come in and out. They can just run it over the automatic scanner at the security gate. If you don’t have an extra magic band to give them, then just go down to the front desk and tell them that you need a new magic band. Then you will have one available to give them.
