Hope this is in the right place.
DH and I are stealth shopping with the kids in Dec for xmas. Do the stores in DTD have in-store wrapping available? Can I send things back to the room too (staying on site)? I'm bringing paper with me but if it's one less thing I have to do then I'm all for it.
TIA!!

I DON'T know the answer to your question, but am throwing the following concern out there - are these to open WHILE you are at WDW? Remember, you CANNOT take wrapped packages on an airplane (even in your checked luggage.) They usually unwrap everything. I just don't want you to get beautiful packages, only to have the airline get the pleasure of opening them!

I'm going to ship a few unwrapped gifts and all the wrapping supplies down there before we leave home then purchase the last of it while there. They will be opened on xmas day and then shipped back home. I was hoping that the DTD stores could wrap my purchases at DTD for me and then deliver them to our hotel(POR). I have a back up plan of wrapping the gifts in the laundry room while washing but if I don't have to, it would be great.

I definitely don't want the airlines to have all the fun! Plus I'm a total Martha when it comes to wrapping so I'm not going to let anyone muss it up. :rotfl:

P.S. I used to live in Ga., Lilburn and Loganville.

Bumping for more help.

Anyone?? I'd love to know the answer to this one too as we are going to Disney FOR a birthday, and it would be cool to not have to wrap presents while there as well as not having to bring supplies.

As far as I know, there is no gift wrapping available at DTD. It's possible that they could do something special at Christmas, but I don't know. However, you CAN have purchase shipped back to your resort. They should arrive at your resort's gift shop by 1pm the next day.

I am always on the look out for giftwrap, but have never seen it at the parks (it must exist surely?) I know the Disney Store used to have gift boxes, perhpas they might have something like that. I have visions of you and your DH taping paper napkins together to use as wrap!!!

I actually bought Disney christmas wrapping paper in our school fundraiser last year, or was it at Walmart?! I have about 50 different wrapping paper tubes all coordinated for each holiday event. I told you I was a total Martha! What I could do with paper napkins!

Thanks for the info Tia. At least I won't have to haul the stuff around with the boys asking every other second, "What's in the bag?" We figure if we see something they like one of us can forget to buy something and back track. I'll buy the stuff I need and then have the rest shipped to the room.

If they don't do wrapping then I'll be the strange lady in the laundry room wrapping away at 2 am. I'll share my bows and tape!! I guess it's a good thing that Santa doesn't wrap his gifts that he leaves.

I just called World of Disney and they do not do in-store wrapping. I guess this means I'l be hanging out in the laundry room.
