Hi, We are going on the November 11th, 3 day Wonder Cruise.

My family hasn't had any 'formal' pics taken since we had our last baby a year ago.

My husband has bought me a formal gown to wear and he and our sons will be wearing suits. We are all kinda excited about getting all dressed up.

Now for my questions...

Since there isn't a 'formal' night on the 3 day...will we look out of place?

What night will be the best night for us to dress up?

Thank You!! ::MinnieMo

I just got off the Wonder and there were not a lot of people dressed up. However, there were some families that did and they looked amazing and had beautiful pictures taken. I think you should do it. I would dress up on the night you dine in Tritons. That is the fanciest restuarant.

Have a great time!

alot of people were dressed up to take the cruise photos.Don't think you have any reason to feel out of place. I saw some really nice outfits in Palos and just in general. It's your cruise. Do what makes you happy.

I can't believe your husband bought you a gown!! I can't even get mine to pick up TP on the way home from work. LOL

We did the 3 day Wonder and got dressed up every evening. The night that DH and I went to Palo, I wore a gown and DH wore a suit jacket. We had our pics taken before dinner. I have so many Shutter's pic's of the family and I cherish everyone of them. You will not feel out of place. The best night would either be Triton's or if you go to Palo. Check out the pics in my sig. They were taken on the Wonder.

Thanks for all of the replies! I can't wait to dress up now!

WDWMOM2...Your picture is beautiful. I love the background. I hope that our pics turn out as great as yours.

SWEETANGEL...Thanks for the thread. I am so happy to have found a thread with my fellow cruisers.

We dressed up for Palos the night we went there. Our daughter is 20 so she was able to go with us to Palos. We got our formal portraits made then before dinner. I did see others dressed up and every night you saw little girls dressed up like Cinderella, Sleeping Beaty etc. So go for it I say- nobody looked at us wierd in fact we got several compliments-especially my daughter.

I also wore a dress though not as nice as the Palos dress to Tritons. Hubby wore a suit. Plenty of women had on dresses but there was only one other man that we saw wearing a suit. Suppoasably suggested attire for Tritons is dress or pantsuit for women and a tie and jacket for men. I guess most of the men did not care what the suggested attire was. I myself was proud of hubby but he did feel out of place in his suit in Tritons.
Most men wore jackets and ties to Palos. The only tux we saw the whole cruise was a couple who had renewed their vows on ship.

On the Wonder, it's pretty much "Do your own thing." My husband and I lean toward the formal end of things when we're planning to have photos taken. There will be other dressy people, so you won't feel out of place at all.
I did feel a little odd once, though, when we were in Triton's and hubby and I were all dressed up while all the rest of the people at our table were in jeans and golf shirts! But what the heck...as long as everyone was comfortable.

Even on non-formal nights, we dressed up, and were not out of place. (Now, the couple who got turned away for wearing jeans and t-shirts at Palo's -- THEY felt out of place.) There is such a wide array of dressing up that you should be comfortable with whatever you wear, from resort casual on up.
