Question about doing your own centerpieces

I know quite a few people have done their own bouquets or centerpieces, and I'd like to do the same. What I'm wondering is, did you ship them down to your resort beforehand (or did they go to DFTW?), and did Disney set them up, or did you have to? And then how did they get taken care of after the wedding?

I was thinking about it because we're planning to leave right from the reception dinner for our dessert party and am wondering if it will be our responsibility to round up the centerpieces before we go.

TIA! :goodvibes

My consultant told me that if you make/bring your own centerpieces, it's your responsibility to set them up before and take them down after the reception. I was thinking about making them myself until I learned this - I don't want to have to worry about getting them to the reception and/or having to ask one of my guests to be responsible for it.

I am making my own bouquets and I really wish I could make my own centerpieces, but our reception is at ADH and we aren't allowed. I have several people driving down, like DF's dad and his brother (BM) so we are going to have them bring down anything like bouquets and favors.

OK, thanks! This should be okay for us because we are a very small group and we're planning to stay at whatever resort we end up using for the reception. :thumbsup2

That's a great idea. We're not driving, so I guess we'll have to ship ours down to the resort ahead of time. It's only going to be a couple things so it shouldn't cost too much.

I thought youcould have your own centerpieces if you were inside. ADH is inside... Why can't you bring your own centerpieces....

ADH is the one resort venue that prohibits you from using any outside vendors (including yourself!), with the exception of photographers and videographers.
