Question about Disney Visa points and transferring?

Hey everyone,
I currently have the disney visa and my question is, how long does it take to transfer points over to the rewards card? We just received our rewards card in the mail this weekend and will be at disneyland in december. Can I transfer points over while I'm there so we can use them or should I transfer them before I leave? Is it like an instant transfer or does it take a day or so?

You might want to call ahead of time and find out when your points will get credited for the month (depends on billing cycle). If that coincides when you'll be at DL, then call them and have the points transferred. It's pretty much instantaneous.

It is usually an instant transfer, however it probably won't matter if you do it right before leaving or while on vacation. New reward dollars only become available at the end of your billing period, so any new rewards you earn with spending on your Visa at Disney will not be available until the end of the billing cycle. You might as well transfer from home before you leave.

I don't think I'm explaining this very well. My only excuse is it is Monday and we are out of coffee!

I just transferred mine, and I agree with the other posters. If you already have your rewards card the transfer is instant and the $$$ transferred are available immediately. I did it online and it took about a minute. As the others mentioned, your available amount only increases at the end of the billing cycle.

My billing cycle ended while I was in WDW last year, so I called up during my trip and had them transferred.

Don't forget about the minimum transfer amount. I don't think you can transfer an amount less than $20 (maybe $10). My point is, don't transfer to early or you may loose out on $19 that is sitting, waiting for that extra $1 to make it the permissible minimum transfer amout.
