Question about Disney Dinning

Suppose I get something that I absolutely don't like. Are Disney restaurants willing to take your item back and replace it with something? Or are you stuck with what you get?

They would take it back and you could order something else, but, be prepared to pay for both entrees.

They might make you pay for both meals but in every instance we have had with this they have taken it back and replaced it no hassle.

I have no clue about the dining plan, never use it, but I did have a steak I ordered at Boatwrights that I just did not like. Something about the marinade or the sauce used made it very sweet - I prefer a smoky or savory steak.

I had just left it on my plate, wasn't going to send it back, since I figured I should have read the menu better, but the waitress noticed and asked if there was a problem. I told her no, I just didn't care for the marinade. She immediately asked if I wanted something else on the menu, or that same steak made without a sauce. I told her no, because the rest of my party was ready to go, and I had filched bites of everybody else's side dishes and was full. They took the steak off my bill without me even asking for it.

I really appreciated it, and tipped accordingly that night.

If I just "didn't like" something, I would not send it back. I may comment to the server that is wasn't what I expected, but I would never send it back unless it was not cooked correctly or was somehow not prepared right.

I think WDW restaurants are just like regular restaurants in that they want their patrons to be happy, and will maybe do things to accomodate them, but that doesn't always make it the right thing to do.
