Hi I read tonight that some people have been told that Disney was going to be cancelling adr's on people that have more then one booked in a meal timeframe but I haven't read if this has happened to anyone as of yet? Has it?

Would really like to know because I'm one of those people who have a few double adr's out there(sorry) I made them and then went on vacation and haven't had the time to cancel them as of yet but you can bet I will be getting on it tomorrow but I was wondering if I am already too late and Disney has taken can of it for me.

Thanks for the help

I'd just call myself to be sure, someone else will definitely be able to use those coveted ADR's you would be releasing.

Have a great day.

I didn't double book but I have a 2:40pm ADR @LTT for lunch and a 4pm ADR @ CP for dinner (large group is splitting up) under my name. Do you think they will cancel one of these? We have every intention of using both!

We had 1 doubling booking for our upcoming tri, and the called us to tell us they would be cancelling the second ADR. Since we were meeting some freinds @ different places, and told them they said OK.

I had double booked CRT for Jan. for breakfast. I really didn't mean to, but I was traveling and did not have my ressie # and I was afraid of the two getting mixed up. I called a couple of days later to cancel my first ressie and both were still there. The CM seemed surprise, but told me my second ressie was safe. At the time, I didn't know that you could get cancelled with double ressies.

Well, I'm not a CM, and I don't play one on TV, but my understanding is that as long as 1 is in the lunch time period, and 1 is in the dinner time period, it's fine. Oddly enough, as far as I know, you could have 2 ADRs that were 4 hours apart considered double booked if they both fell in the dinner period, and you could have 2 ADRs that were 1 minute apart considered ok if one was in the lunch and the other was in the dinner time frame.

Hmmm - tricky one!

My initial reaction is that I approve of the cancelling of double ADR's.

Unfortunately, I suspect many people make two bookings so that they can simply decide on the day where to eat and either not show up for one booking or cancel it at very short notice.

This kind of selfish behavoir irritates me as it leaves the rest of us honest folk struggling to make ADRs at favorite restaurants.

On the other hand however, cancelling without reference to the guest means that double ADRs made for genuine reasons would also be cancelled - which is clearly unfair.

Even if Disney call the guest before cancelling an ADR, it's easy to lie and make up and excuse.

Ultimately, I guess there's no easy way to weed out the dishonest ones. Even at Disney, there's some selfish people around!

I really miss the days where you could just walk up and put your name on the "List" and they would seat you.

I do not double book because I don't think it's fair to people who may want the reservation, but I understand the frustration of not knowing what you want to do 6 months from now for dinner and which park you want to be in at that time.
