question about dining plan

Hi,

I have been looking at a bunch of posts here, and I am wondering if anyone who has used the dining plan if you can use a counter service meal credit for a breakfast. I am planning on staying at one of the all star resorts and I am
wondering if the dining plan is a good value for the dollar. We are generally picky eaters. They are 2 adults and one 7 year old.

We are planning to use one counter service for breakfast and share it. We are not big eaters first thing in the morning and I think a breakfast with eggs, bacon and toast will be just right for us to share.

We asked about this when we signed up. You can use your credits any way you want. Since you are picky eaters, may I suggest going over to Debs all ears and checking out the menus. You might find something in the counter service selections more to your liking than what the value might offer.

We used some of our MYW credits for breakfast (at our resort: POR), and it worked out well for us. This was week before last. We always shared if we got cs food for lunch. This pretty much enabled us to get 3 meals a day on the plan. With the snacks, too, it is ALOT of food.

We just got back last week, and we used almost all of our counter service credits for breakfast and skipped lunch.

Most of them were used in our hotel (Contemporary). We either ate at the Food 'n Fun Center or I went down and brought a tray up to the room.

The only day we didn't eat breakfast in the hotel was when we went to AK - then we ate breakfast at Tusker House (also counter service), which was good.

When you use a counter service credit for breakfast, you get the breakfast entree plus a muffin/danish. We were always stuffed from the breakfast and we saved the muffin/danish for an afternoon or night snack, and this worked out well. The muffins are big, and could be a breakfast just by themselves. Ask for a bag and save them for later.
