Question about dining plan

If I have free dining staying at POR the plan is for one table service and one counter service daily. Does anyone know if the table service credits can be used for counter service? We prefer to not plan around meals so don't want to do any ADR's. Thanks in advance!!

When we had the dining plan years ago you could down grade - but before I did that I would have your Disney App or site open and see what is available when you want to eat. Not sure when you are going but you will be surprised as to what reservations will be open on any given day. Especially in EPCOT or AK.

Yes you can use a TS credit at a CS restaurant. It isn't normally a good use of a TS credit, but since you have free dining it really isn't an issue.

That's awesome, I didn't realize that. We would definitely be open to table service meals if we could get one without a reservation. Our trip is planned for the week after thanksgiving but if we leave a few days earlier I can get free dining which would almost cover the cost of the extra days

You can use a TS for a CS but if there is a restaurant you would like to go to I would go there at opening and sometimes they will get you in right away. I did this for Yak&Yeti, I called the dining line and they said no openings. We went over to the restaurant when it opened and they took us right in.
