Question about Dining Plan

We are arriving next Saturday. I added the dining plan the first of November. Another time, I had to a call and add ME and I double checked that the dining plan was still on.

My question is, do they send you any confirmation of this? I have not received any. Do I just trust it is on there or do I need to double check? Everyone in our party really wants dining plan and I was owrried that somehow when we check in, it won't be there.

You will not have received a confirmation on this. It will be required for all members of your party, and the first one to check in will need to pay the entire dining plan at that time. It will be encoded on your KTTW cards and all credits are grouped together on them. Any changes to add or delete it must be done prior to 48 hrs before check in.

We tried the dining plan after the DVC Member Cruise in September and loved it. Be prepared for a lot of food, though.

The two DVC trips that we have taken using the Dining Plan had no mention of it on the confirmation. Both times, we had no problems because it was, in fact, on our reservations. I don't know why they don't mention it on the written confirmation.

Just got back from DW. You might want to rethink the plan. Lots of paperwork and getting to be close to non profitable as a customer. Much better before.

We love it! Used the basic plan when gratuities were included and the deluxe twice since then. My challenge with the plan, I am not totally sure about the restaurant ressies until I get checked in and receive the print out showing what I signed up for and when. I wish I could receive a print out before I arrive.
Also when you check in, if you are taking guests with you and they are paying their portion, each party can be billed accordingly so each party will charged with their portion of the total bill, just ask. Or at least they have for us. But be aware who ever has their name on the room ressie will be charged for all charges made to the room.
On the night before you leave ask them to list all charges according to the KTTW cards, then you will know who charged what and if you choose they can then pay their portion of the outstanding bill. But do it that night because the charges will have been applied to whom ever the room ressie by the time you check out in the am.

So, my Mom, DBIL and DSIL who are staying with us in our 2 bedroom do not have separate KTTW cards? I did not realize this. I am very glad you posted this. Anything else like this that is good to know when multiple families are staying in the same room?

Yes, every person on the resevation will have a KTTW card. The credits are pooled, so each card has access to all of the credits for your group.

Yes everyone will receive their own KTTW card. As for charges to your room the resort will only accept one credit card on file when you check in, you can specify which KTTW cards have room charging capabilities.
