So we have the Deluxe Dining Plan and have a reservation at Be Our Guest for lunch. I noticed today we can start our order online but I see that with the dining plan there (quick service) that we get one entree and one drink. Do we get a dessert since we have the Deluxe plan or would that be one of our snacks for the day?? Just trying to figure out what to order to maximize our plan for the day. For instance my husband wants the Pork, Potatoe Soup and Strawberry Cupcake which I know is covered under the Deluxe plan but is all that covered at a quick service meal?????

Any and all help appreciated. Thanks so much!! We have never used the Disney dining plan before.

It would be like using a QS credit; you would get an entree and drink only. From a financial point of view, using a DxDDP credit on a QS meal is not a good value. The DxDDP credit has a value of $30-$50+ at a TS restaurant (app, entree, dessert and beverage) so using it on a QS restaurant, which would cost around $15 for the entree and beverage, is not worth it. For some, the monetary value doesn't mater, but my opinion would be to pay OP for BoG and use the credit that you saved for somewhere else or use it for a Sig restaurant.

From Disney's website:
Each Quick-Service meal includes (for breakfast, lunch or dinner):
  • 1 Entrée
  • 1 Non-alcoholic Beverage (or Alcoholic Beverage, for Guests 21 and older)
Each Table-Service meal includes (for breakfast):
  • 1 Entrée
  • 1 Non-alcoholic Beverage (or Alcoholic Beverage, for Guests 21 and older)
-OR-
  • 1 Full Buffet** or Family-Style Meal
Each Table-Service meal includes (for lunch or dinner):
  • 1 Appetizer
  • 1 Entrée
  • 1 Dessert*
  • 1 Non-alcoholic Beverage (or Alcoholic Beverage, for Guests 21 and older)
-OR-
  • 1 Full Buffet** or Family-Style Meal

Your QS meal would include an entree and a drink, so if your husband also wanted the soup and the cupcake, you could pay for them separately or I think you can use snack credits for them (I'm not 100% sure on this part so hopefully someone else can chime in!)
