question about ddp for a 17 year old

I am in the process of purchasing disney my way with dining for myself and my 17 year old son. I was quoted a price that states 1 adult and 1 child.

Does this mean my son has to eat off the childs menu? I am confused as I thought the age for a child was 3-9. If this is so, how do I get him a dining plan as an adult?

Sounds like the CM made a mistake, maybe they heard 7 instead of 17. He would definitely be considered an adult. I would call back and have them make the correction.

My 12 year old GS is always referred to as a junior when it comes to booking a room or making an ADR. But when it comes to the room key card he is always listed as an adult for dining purposes. You need to correct this unless your 17 year likes eating mac and cheese and applesauce on a regular basis.

Not to mention the fact that he would end up with a child's admission ticket as well. To the OP, I'm sure it was a mistake that could be corrected with a single phone call (and an additional charge to the originally quoted price).
