Question about crowds for next week

It's a last minute and first time trip to Universal for my family of 3. We will be there 2/9-2/13. I looked at crowd calendars and it looks to be a slower time of year except for maybe Saturday. I'm trying to decide which hotel to stay and if express pass will be needed.

Please help and give me some insight. Thanks!!

Royal Pacific is an average of $215/night during that stretch, which will easily cover costs of EPs. No real Annual Pass Holder rates those days, but if you are staying that many days, go ahead and buy Seasonal Passes for the same amount you would pay for 4 days...never know when you might want to pop in again.

Thank you for the reply. I went ahead and booked RPR. I got a great AP rate. I figured it would be well worth it to have EPs.

It was so slow last week when we were there that I swear the regular lines were just as fast as the Express! Would not have been worth it for us...

Hope you get the length of lines we had 4-8th. Not a single line took more than 15 minutes. Heck, maybe less than 10.
