Question about coupon details

We got Our issue of 17 magazine today and in it was this coupon,

It does say any single sweatpant and or hoodie for $17. Does that interpret as you can get one of each and only pay $17 for both and not each ?? Not good yet so I can't try it out but that's how I am reading it. If it is each then it is not much of a sale since they are all $22 right now anyways. $17 for one of each would be awesome and I'd make the trip to the mall for that deal.

I would say $17 each, but that you can buy a pair of pants AND a hoodie (paying $34). You cannot buy two pants for $34 or two hoodies for $34, though.

Ours had a free Bath & Body coupon and we took it in and they said the company decided not to honor them!
Since the coupon says and/or I would say both.
