Question about confirmation numbers

Hi everyone:

I placed my first DVC reservation last week. My guide patched me through to the reservation department and everything went smoothly. But, the reservation CM stated at the end of our call, when I asked for a confirmation number, that she could not give me one, but that it would be faxed to me in a day or so. I just realized this morning that a week has passed and no confirmation number. Is this normal? Do DVC members not get confirmation numbers? Should I just call my guide? What to do???
 
We got our confirmation right away when we made ressies. Maybe the computers were having problems? If you call MS, they can probably give you a confirmation number by looking up your member number. Have a great trip home!
 
Normally they will give you a verbal on the confirmation number on the phone and mail you the actual reservation confirmation as well. They usually include a travel insurance insert and Meers shuttle service inserts as well. I would suggest calling MS just to be safe.
 
it is generally 10 days (okay lots of time less) before you need to call them - if you haven't received your confirmation in 12 days - definitely call.

call the member service number on your member card not your guide.
 

They give you reservation numbers for everything right away, that is for rooms, banking, and meals-you always get a number. Call back something is wrong!!
 
Bryan, did you call MS back? Give them your member # and they should be able to look it up for you.
 
MS is confused too. They had me call quality control and all you get there is a machine that takes your name and number and someone is "supposed" to call me back. I will let you know how this is finally resolved.
 
All worked out. They found the reservation number and the CM who originally took my reservation has been instructed that Disney does not fax out confirmations and that she should always give confirmations over the phone. I'm sorry, but I would think that would be covered in the first hour of training. Oh well, it all worked out and that's all that matters.
 
September 4 - 8 at OKW. Using some of my incentive points for buying at SSR! We can't hardly wait!
