Ok so my first day there I should arrive around 2pm to my hotel (still haven't picked one out yet, i know i know... anyways)... I was planning on seeing if I could go ahead and check into our room, if not we'll just go ahead and check in and leave our stuff in our car. My "plan of attack" was to arrive, then go to US and go ahead and get our tickets. We did the 7 day pass for 85. That way the next morning when we attack the parks we won't have to even think of the tickets... I was thinking of going to City Walk after we got our tickets. so my question is... is City walk RIGHT there next to the parks? Is the parking all the same??

one more question.. I heard DTD parking was free, true? I have to go to DTD to spend some Disney Dollars at the big Disney Store there so we might do that the first day too instead of City walk... but if parking is free at DTD then we might do both... first DTD then swing over to US and check out City Walk or even enter the parks.

Thanks!

If you are staying onsite, you can check in and they will hold your luggage if your room is not ready. You will pay for parking at your hotel if you are staying onsite, and you could catch a water taxi or walk into CityWalk from the hotel. It is not far from any of the onsite hotels.

CityWalk is right next to the parks and the parking is the same for the parks and CityWalk. If you are not staying onsite and you arrive after 6PM, parking is free for CityWalk and the parks.

As to your question about parking at DTD, it is free.

You have to walk down citywalk to get to the parks if you park in the parking garage.

if you are checking into the universal on site hotels on a weekday m-th, your room could be ready. i have checked in on a weekday last year at 7:45 in the morning and it was ready.

if you check in on a saturday, your room might not be ready. it's slower to get a room when it is a busy day

ok im not staying onsite.. i know that for sure... with all you guys have said.. i figure i go check in at the hotel, rahter my room is ready or not, then go to DTD till after 6pm.. then head over to citywalk (since parking is free) and go ahead and get my tickets for US and check out citywalk. w00h00 sounds like a plan to me!

Thanks to you guys!

Thanks!
