I see I can special order the Cinderella’s Signature Slipper Dessert. Since I have already pre-paid for the meal, if I opt for the special dessert, do I get a credit for the desert that comes with the meal?

How does that work?

The Cinderella's Signature Slipper Dessert is a completely separate purchase where the dessert that comes with your meal is already included in the prixe fix pricing, so you wouldn't be credited for that part. That special dessert is super magical though and I think it's worth doing just once! :)

Can I use my DVC/AP/TIW discount?

Nope. No discount on the special dessert. It is actually purchased from the Grand Floridian Bakery, not from CRT.

We have a dining reservation at the GF, if I order that desert for that restaurant, can I use my discount(s)? Sorry dh wants to know lol!

No, you can't get a discount on the special dessert at all. It's a separate order from your order at the restaurant, and the bakery does not accept those discounts.

I am guessing I can't get a discount on the glass slipper either :(

The only way to get any type of discount on these "special" items is to pay with Disney gift cards that you obtain via discounts. There are many strategies discussed on the Budget board.

My suggestion.....order the glass slipper dessert to be delivered to another restaurant on a different night from CRT. Then you don't have two desserts to contend with (not that this is a really bad thing, but still)....and it stretches the magic for a second evening. Check the cake thread here on DIS for a list of the restaurants that you can have the slipper delivered. Still no discounts, but at least you (or hubby) won't feel like you're double paying.

I was thinking of having the dessert at the Happily Ever After Dinner but have the glass slipper at the Cinderella's royal table. (we are doing both Cinderella meals)

I was going to order the slipper for our meal at CRT but that is a good point doing it another night - assume they would deliver to your room at the GF as well?

1) No way.
2) You pay for both the meal and the slipper.
3) Disney does not do anything for free.

Oh you can use the Cake Hotline to have the slipper delivered to your room etc. 407-827-2253

The chocolate slipper dessert can be ordered through the Cake hotline. The slipper is made of either dark or white chocolate.

The CRT reservation page also has details of a "Her Royal Highness" package that can be ordered.

I see the slipper can be engraved. Does Disney do this?
There is a different glass slipper that can be ordered as part of a package through Disney Floral and Gifts. I don't know if the slipper itself can be engraved or if it is something else in the package you select.

Don't wish to gatecrash your post but can you have the slipper delivered as part of breakfast at CRT?

I have seen photos of people having it at breakfast! Call them to make sure

When we got our glass slipper at GFC for dessert and paid for the meal with our TIW I believe the discount was applied to the slipper as well- so I think if you are paying for it along with a meal they take the discount (or at least they did last Nov) if you are only paying for the dessert (example CRT you have already paid for the meal or when you use DP credits) they may not accept the TIW card to discount it.
