Question about Christmas Party in MK

We are visiting in Nov. and have already made our park reservations; however, now I see that they have scheduled the Christmas party on the day that we have reservations for MK. I know that means we will have to leave by 9 pm. Being that we have specifically chosen then to visit so that we will be there for the 50th anniversary celebrations, does anyone know if they will have the fireworks and castle lighting twice on that date or just for the Christmas party? Don't know if I should switch my park reservations or not.

The way I think I understand it, since the Christmas event is an after-hours event, there will be fireworks twice. Once as part of the regular MK scheduling and once for the after hours. The after hours event should not intrude on your original MK plans that day - except it's likely to be a bit busier starting around 7PM when after-hours guests come in.

There wont be a castle lighting, Disney isnt installing lights on the castle.
