Hello, again....I have thought of another question perhaps you can help me with. Would it be considered rude to order a childrens' meal for our 12yo son? At WDW, the wait staff has even encouraged us to do so, rather than wasting an adult portion on a child. The other thing is, he is really still picky enough that the childrens meal choices suit him better. What is your opinion? Thanks, I have learned so much from all of you!!

Wouldnt think you would have any issue with ordering kids menus from fast

food outlets which include drinks;choice from yoghurtdrink, icecream and

choice of fries or carrot sticks

depends how old he looks as to restaurants accepting it as my kids all look

old for their age and BIG appetites! :rotfl:

I get the impression it matters more at table service restaurants. Some of them have a menu for 12-16 year olds which is a good compromise.

Don't forget Paris portions are not the same size as WDW portions - you can probably find something plainish if there is an issue (pasta, steak)

You won't have a problem ordering from the childrens menu.
I have a 13 year old who looks could easily pass for 16 and yet when we go into restaurants the CM's nearly always bring 2 childrens menus, one for him and his brother, although they have stopped giving him the colouring pencils :rotfl:

The last couple of visits though he has ordered from the adult menu finding the child portions a little small and restricted. Although the teenage menus are fine, they're not widely available.

:)

Thanks for the info! Isn't it funny how we plan down to the smallest detail? It's just part of the fun, I guess!

:)

To be honest with you, last july I had a child's meal in Auberge de Cendrillon because I found the adult meal very big and too many things on offer...

Don't think it's rude to buy kids meal for 12 year old, just go for it!

Its not like they wil ask for ID.

Then again Kyra got asked for ID when we entered The Studios lmao.
