We are trying Chef Mickey's for dinner in October. We last ate there in 2005 and we thought it was just OK, but we thought we might like to give it another try. I know it has had some pretty bad reviews in the last couple of years or so. I was wondering if anyone who has ate there recently would care to give their opinions.

Love Chef Mickey's . It's our favorite place in Disney. It's good food for bk & din.( I didn't say great ) but tied in with the Atmosphere & characters for us it's the best Disney feeling resturant and we love it and never miss it each trip. :worship::cool1::lovestruc:banana::love:

We ate there last summer and were disappointed again. (We were giving it another try). Now we are done with Chef Mickey's. Just my opinion though. Maybe others have been more recently.

we had breakfast there at Spring Break, and sad to say it was :sad2: not that great. We preferred that character interaction and the food at Ohana.

We had breakfast there last Sept. and were very disappointed. I actually like the food okay, as far as a breakfast buffet goes. But the character interactions was terrible. We were sitting outside of the main dining area (maybe this was part of the problem). Our entire party of 6 went to the buffet twice and was completely finished eating before one single character stopped by our table. So we were finished eating and ready to head out to the park, but had to sit there and wait for the characters to come by. Try explaining that one to an impatient 2 year old. I felt the character interaction at CRT was much better and there was a steady flow of princesses to our table.

Chef Mickeys has gone progressively downhill over the 10 years that we have been travelling to Disney yet every year we try it one more time to see if it has improved.

Last year we were very disappointed with the food, the service and the character interaction HOWEVER we have an ADR for dinner next month simply because we used to love the place and really hope it MAY have improved.

We were there for breakfast the first week of June. We found the buffet to be above average and the characters interaction to be good. It was very busy when we were there but didn't feel rushed to eat or to play. We will do it again.

Looks like with everything, you are going to get mixed opinions. We started going to CM almost 12 years ago for our DD's 3rd b-day, she is almost 15. We have gone for breakfast every single one of our trips and many times also dinner. As far as breakfast goes, we have never been disapointed, including last time we went in November. We actually liked this past breakfast the best with the addition of the french toast (so good!) As far as dinner, we like it, not as much as breakfast but we do. I will say this past trip was not quite as good as in the past, but still good. I don't think we have ever had as good of character interaction anywhere and we have been to almost every character meal at least once.

We love CM, will always go. It isn't a trip to Disney for us without going.

Hi, I ate there for the first time July 4 for breakfast. We had to wait like 30 minutes to be seated, but that wasn't a big deal, which was longer than the other chracter meals I have done in the past (garden grill actually sat us 15 min early two days before). However, I was disappointed in our experience. I thought the food was very bland and not very good. While I thought Minnie, Goofy, and Pluto were great (they didn't spend very much time with us since we were adults, but I enjoyed them), Mickey and Donald seemed to have an attitude problem on that morning. Mickey was not very friendly, just going through the motions. I guess I would describe him as "okay." Donald was kinda jerky (and he's my fave! :(). I had just seen Mickey and Minnie before him, and they each took a pic with me while I was seated, so I figured Donald would do the seem. Instead he hastily motioned for me to stand up and come over to him (we took a pic) and that was the only interaction I got. At all. I was wearing a bday button and all the other characters (including ho-hum Mickey referenced it). Donald didn't, nor did he do anything like wave or ANYTHING. Considering how costly these buffets are, I do not believe we will be going here again. I would rather wait in line at the character spot at epcot to get all of the main characters' photos. Of course, everyone has there off day so I don't know what it is normally like there. But, based on our experience, I don't plan on going back. I much prefer CRT (had a wonderful time there) for breakfast or go back to the wonderful garden grill (had a fabulous time there) for dinner.

we ate at chef mickey's for the first time last month for breakfast. we were seated right away,we thought the food was good and the characters all came around and posed for pictures with us. we had a nice table close to the big windows.we really enjoyed it.

Chef Mickeys is more about atmosphere that food. We ate there again on our last trip about a year ago and the food keeps getting worse. We will not be visiting Chef Mickeys this year.

We always go to CM and have never had a bad experience. We always do dinner, this trip we'll try the breakfast as well.

Is this our favorite meal? Certianly not, but it's still pretty good. All you can eat peel and eat shrimp... Shoot, we could make a meal out of that alone. :lmao: Maybe we're easy to please because you're right. There are a lot of people who do not like it. :confused3

We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast at Chef Mickeys on 6/30/09. The breakfast buffet was really good. We particularly loved the breakfast pizza there. The character interaction was fantastic! We'll definitely be returning to Chef Mickey's in the future.

When we are with the grandchildren we always start the trip with dinner at Chef Mickeys. When we are by ourselves we don't bother. It is hard saying no to the grandchildren......:upsidedow

We're heading back to Chef Mickey's for BK during our September trip because of fond memories of the last time we ate there in 1998. I hope I'm not in for a shock!

2006 kids like it, we were ok with it. 2007 Semi disappointed in the food but the experience was ok for the kids

2008 was our third time there and our last, very rushed by the staff. Food was blah and characters were hit and miss. Very disappointed. Wont do it again. Same characters at Tusker House!

Will not ever do CM again.

hi there never did CM but do goofys kitchen in CA all the time do they serve peanut butter and jelly pizza at CM too?

You must keep in mind everybody has different opinions on places. I LOVE CHEF MICKEY'S and have never had a bad experience here. For bk or din and been here many of times.

I was there in October 2008 and while the food really wasn't great, it was ok. Character interaction the night we were there was wonderful!

Having said that, we're going back in December.
