Question about checking with AP discount?

I recently bought an Annual Pass to get an even better discount on our club level room at the WL. I have the voucher in my possession. My question is do I need to stop at the TTC prior to check-in and exchange it for the actual AP or can I check-in with the voucher. We are flying into Orlando and then taking the Magical Express to WL and I just want to know if we need to then go directly to TTC or can go up to concierge and check-in with the voucher. Thanks for any experience anyone has with this process or advise in advance. This is our first time with an AP (which I purchased online and had FedExed to my home and also our first time doing concierge).

You should be able to use the the voucher and then tell them you are going to get the AP, especially since you are stayingconcierge. I would email the IPO and let them know that.
ETA the WL club level is great.

I went to downtown disney before checking into resort to get my ap, it only took a few mins.

Funny thing is I have NEVER been asked to show my AP when I use an AP rate. Not sure why, because I always have it ready to show them, but they never ask.

My last trip I arrive at WDW around 8 ish schlepped down the DTD to get my ap (had voucher as well ) and made it back around 10:30 ish... they never even asked to see it! I ended up in the furthest and worst preffered room at Pop too. I was not a happy camper. So I say check in first, then if they even ask to see it you can bring your ap later in the week.
