Question about check in process

Ok DW vets we are arriving at MCO around 10 am on the 16th this month. We have already did the online check in. My question is about the process and how to get to the parks as quickly as possible. We plan on using DME to get to pop. Now since more than likely our room will not be ready, what do we do from here? Will we be able to drop my wife's carry on off at the hotel? Or should we just bring it with us to the park (HS) and put it in a locker?

My 2nd question is about departure. If we want to just go straight from the park to the airport and plan on using umber, we can essentially drop our bags off with RAC since were flying southwest, correct? We don't fly out until 6 pm.

I'm pretty sure you can leave your carry on with the front desk and then go right to the parks. I don't know about the second question.

Your room could be ready, but if it's not, you can leave your carry-on with Bell Services, not the front desk.

You can definitely use RAC even if you're not using DME to get back to the airport - it's basically the same as curbside check-on, except the curb is at your hotel.

Yes, you can use RAC (provided you check your bags during their hours and 3 hours before your flight). Don't forget to make allowances for carryons though (if you do those).

Just to clarify, you have to check your bags at least 3 hours before your flight; the OP doesn't have to wait until 3 to do it.

Every halfway decent hotel in the USA will store bags on check-in day if your room isn't ready yet.

Depends on what type of carry on you have as to if you can go straight from a park to the airport. If you have the normal 20"'-22" rolling carry on you can not take that into a park with you. Nor can you take it on a park bus. Park buses do not allow luggage on them
