Do you think checking in on a weekday instead of a weekend reduces your chances of getting your requests met? With weekend points higher, I figure most people check in on Sunday and leave on Friday. At least, that's what we usually do. Now that I'm retired, we are planning some week-long stays. We can check in any day of the week now, so I'm interested in which day of the week would be the best. I'm wondering if Friday would be the best day since there are probably several who check out that day. Any insight?

I haven't noticed any difference whatsoever. My work schedule dictates that we check in on a lot of Wednesdays or Thursdays, and it's a coin flip whether we get any requests honored or not. No different than when we check in on weekends.

IMO, most members still check out on either Friday or Saturday, so that would give the room assigners the most flexibility to grant requests. But it seems a whole lot of guests request the same rooms, so you never know.

I have no data, so it's just speculation and all MS & front desk CMs will say is "requests are not guaranteed", LOL.

It's good to know that it doesn't make much difference. Tuesdays or Wednesdays make for better travel days, but I didn't want to risk never getting any requests fulfilled.

If you think about it, logic would dictate that your conclusion itself is a contradiction. With less people checking out during the week, that would mean less inventory is available for assignment and thus your chances of getting a special request would be even lower, and it sounds like that's the case from the other replies.
