Question about Cast Member Discounts

We have two friends who work seasonally in WDW. They live in our town during the summer and work in the world in the winter months. They stopped in to visit before they left and said to let them know if we decided to come down and they would help us out however they could. Since then we have decided to book a trip early next December. Does anyone know if they would be able to get us a discount on our rooms and if it is something they would have to arrange for us or if it is something I could do? I hate to call and bug them if there is nothing they would be able to do for us, so I thought I would check here first!

I have a few friends who are CMs and will try to answer your questions. I believe the CM has to book the room for you through the cast website and might have to be there when you check in in order to use their discount.

I'm sure a CM will subscribe to this thread and give you more info.

They will have to get the information specific to their hiring status off the cast portal. There is no clear-cut answer, and cast room rates are not always available for every resort at every level. Discounts vary due to a lot of different factors.

Bottom line, ask your friends to check the portal, as you probably wo'nt get accurate info otherwise.

Thank you for all your replies. I did give them a call and they are currently looking into it, they said they had never heard this might be a perk...so it doesn't sound good. Thanks!
