Question about cashing out for Disney Rewards...

I know this has been answered before...but I have searched the forums and haven't found the thread I'm looking for. So, I apologize to have to ask this question again.

We have had a trip booked to DL for 12/19-12/24 for months, but we weren't sure if we would be able to go so we didn't get our hopes up. Well, it does look like we're going to go, so now I would like to get our Disney Rewards from our Disney Visa. I know you can request them from card services, and I read that you can ask for expedited shipping for a fee (who knows how high that fee will be!). But...I remember reading on a thread a while back that someone mentioned being able to redeem your points at guest services or somewhere on site at the parks? If so, that would be wonderful and we wouldn't have to mess with expedited shipping. Does anyone know if there are any other options to get your Rewards in your hand a little quicker

We went in May and waited until we were at the park and just went to Guest Services. It was a very simple process.

Just make sure you get a competent CM. We had a guy who barely spoke English and messed it up and it ended up taking 3 days to get our rewards

Ha, okay very good to know! Funny how much of a difference if makes depending on which CM you get!

Does anyone know how long shipping normally takes? My family is still undecided if we are going or not and I'd rather just have the card mailed to me if there is enough time than have to go to guest relations.

I think it says to allow 2-4 weeks?? But honestly I've never done it so I can't say for sure.
