Do you get irons in your room? and if you tip the housekeeping crew do they fold your linens into animals and do nice gestures for you?? Please tell soon because I'm leaving on tuesday! Thank you

When you get to your room, you can call Housekeeping to request items such as a hair dryer, iron, ironing board, and if you need any extra towels, blankets, or pillows.

Some of the housekeepers do make small birds or animals out of the wash cloths and towels, but I don't think they all do. I also am not sure if tipping would make a difference or not, although I'm sure a tip wouldn't hurt. A tip just will not guarantee the animals, that's all, so don't be disappointed if you don't get any. I don't believe all of the Housekeepers know how to make the animals. It's just a nice added effect if you do happen to get one :) I'm not sure what other "nice gestures" you are referring to, though...

First, let me say that we have never have a problem or bad experience with any housekeeping staff. We always tip and we have had towel and wash cloth animals made for us at many resorts, but not every time. Many times we have returned to find our children's toys arranged in some cute way either in a the crib (when our kids were younger), on the bed, or in the window. We understand that they are very busy and this is time consuming. We have never requested an animal. We do make a big effort to thank all the housekeepers we see when we are out and make sure our children do the same thing. This is a tough job and I am sure that it can be a real drag.

Now, we have stayed at many Disney resorts (All Star Music, Movies, and Sports, Port Orleans Riverside and French Quarter, Coronado Springs, Contemporary, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Polynesian, Swan, Dolphin, and the CBR) and we have found the Mousekeepers at CBR to be the absolute best. Let me relate our most magical Disney experience. We took a 4 day weekend to Disney Memorial Day weekend of 2002. We returned to our room Sunday evening to find a medium plush Dumbo and a medium plush Mickey Mouse. I called the front desk to ask how these came to be in our room. The front desk let us know that the mousekeepers found us to be exceptional guest and our children to be very polite. Talk about your magical moments!

I can tell you that we did nothing different this time, or at this resort. I didn't slip anyone a "big" tip. I didn't ask for anything.
And I can tell you if this type of thing happened every time, it wouldn't be magical, but it sure is when it does happen.

I hope you have a GREAT trip.

We just got back from CBR, Feb 1-8. We had the Mousekeepers rave over the Mousekeeping envelopes we had made for them. We left $3 a day. Every other day, we had new small towel animals. Rabbits, birds, and a peacock. We always had new soap and plenty of towels.

As for the irons, we requested one and they had it to our room within ten minutes.

Couldn't have asked for anything more.

We just returned from CBR (2/4-8). Housekeeping was very attentive. We recieved everything we asked for quickly (Towels, hairdryer, soap) In fact on our first day back from MK we did have DD stuffed Mickey, minnie in the window with a welcome home sign. Grewat touch. That did not happen any of the other days but it was great the first. I agree with not assuming that this will happen. The idea of mopusekeeping envelopes is great. I will remember this next time. Dont forget to get the wake up call espically the first day there.

I never use envelopes to tip mousekeeping and get towel animals a lot. It seems to vary with the person cleaning your room. I like to think of it as Disney magic so I don't expect it all the time. I save the stickers off the creations to put in our scrapbook.
